As an artist, I am drawn towards the human figure and my work often represents female subjects on the verge of a pivotal moment. I am curious about life passages, growing up, adolescence, rituals. On my studio practice, I make thousands of small unconscious choices: changing, adding or erasing over initial marks till I find the image that express my idea with clarity; working on parts of the painting with hyper intensity and on others loosely. This way I can focus on expressing the emotional details that are important to the story.
My work has been exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Sony World Photography Awards and the Portrait of Humanity Awards.
